Volunteers get green light to come back!

Last week, during National Volunteer Appreciation Week, we were thrilled to once again welcome community volunteers back to the landscapes and nursery. This comes after our Arboretum and Public Garden volunteer program was put on hiatus over a year ago due to pandemic-related campus health and safety restrictions.

Responding to COVID-19

Like many at UC Davis this spring, the Arboretum and Public Garden had to get creative as the university moved to suspended operations at the start of the COVID-19 lockdown.

To Our Community: A message from Director Kathleen Socolofsky

We continue to care deeply about the health of our community and slowing the spread of COVID-19 is our highest priority. For that reason, we are asking all our visitors to follow proper social distancing guidelines if you are visiting the Arboretum and Public Garden spaces such as the Arboretum proper and the Putah Creek Riparian Reserve.
