A message from Director Kathleen Socolofsky to our community

To our community:

We hope this message finds you well as we all continue to navigate this challenging time. As the leaves start turning and temperatures cool, we want to share an exciting update.

Our staff has been busy creating our new Plant Sale online store with contactless curbside pickup at the Arboretum Teaching Nursery. We are excited to thank all our Friends members by giving them first access to the new store during the fall. We invite those of you who are not yet members to join us and get the opportunity to shop as well. See below for more details.

While we wish we could see you all at the Nursery, we hope you enjoy this new shopping experience and that the plants you purchase bring joy to your garden. We greatly value and appreciate your support during this unprecedented time. Your membership gifts and plant purchases help fund critical needs for our students, collections, and programs. Thank you for your generosity.

Visitors old and new have been enjoying the Arboretum and other campus landscapes the last few months. We appreciate your continued adherence to public health safety guidelines if you visit. Please be prepared to wear a face covering when maintaining 6 feet from others is not possible. Together, we can create safe experiences for all our visitors.

During this pandemic, it has become even clearer that nature can help us recharge, reflect, and heal. Whether it is a walk in a forest, a morning in the garden, or a meditation session among flowers, we hope you are able to seek out nature when you need it. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that the Arboretum and Public Garden can serve your wellness needs, and you will continue to hear from us as we build on this work.

Sending wishes of health and safety to all!
