To support our community during the COVID-19 pandemic, our staff and Learning by Leading™ students began focusing on sharing the health benefits of nature through virtual engagement with our larger community. (Learn more.) Their key message: Everyone can lean into nature as a source of hope, comfort, healing and wellbeing during these stressful times. Below are links to activities that can serve as a resource connect you with the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden virtually. New Arbo Anthems Playlist

To perfectly complement the relaxing and beautiful nature of the Arboretum, UC Davis has made an "Arbo Anthems" music playlist on Spotify. In early November, the UC Davis official Instagram account asked the community to submit songs that they would like to see on the playlist via Instagram stories. The inspiration for the playlist?

The 2020 Campus Nature Rx Symposium was hosted by Cornell University, in Ithaca, NY on October 23, 2020.

The UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden Nature Rx program was presented by Haven Kiers, Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture, Department of Human Ecology and Stacey Parker, GATEways Horticulturist, UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden during this free-one day virtual symposium. Kiers and Parker shared lessons learned, including best practices, for connecting students to campus nature for their health and wellbeing, particularly during a pandemic.
